Requests for Proposals
International Comparative Analyses on Land Policy
Submission Deadline: July 8, 2019 at 11:59 PM
The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is interested in expanding its understanding of land policy issues and practices within and across regions of the world. In 2019, the Lincoln Institute invites proposals for original research papers on land policy and its relevance to social, economic, ecological, and fiscal issues, and strongly encourages the submission of research proposals that are comparative in nature.
The comparative analysis of cases in and across regions of the world will describe the subject of comparison (policy, strategy, place, institution or service), problem confronting the regions, description of the policy or instrument, how it has been applied to address the problem, what has been its outcome, and what are the criteria for comparison.
The research proposals will be reviewed competitively based on weighted evaluation criteria. These criteria favor empirical studies that use reliable data and rigorous quantitative and qualitative analytical methods, employing original field work and/or secondary data. Research outputs are expected to result in papers appropriate for publication.
