Molly Gionta

Molly Gionta is director of clean energy and climate finance at the Center for Impact Finance at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, where she leads the center’s clean energy and resilience finance portfolio, including capacity building and applied research for community lenders, developers, local governments, and other stakeholders in the clean energy transition.

Prior to joining the Lincoln Institute, Molly was senior manager of Fannie Mae’s Multifamily Green Financing Business, where she helped expand the program to more than $132 billion in Green Mortgage-Backed Securities while advancing product innovation in energy efficiency, decarbonization, and healthy housing. Earlier in her career, she led implementation of Washington, DC’s Solar for All program, expanding access to clean energy for low- and moderate-income households, and held roles at the Urban Land Institute’s Terwilliger Center for Housing and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Molly holds a master’s in sustainable urban planning from George Washington University, a graduate certificate in commercial real estate finance from Boston University, and a bachelor’s in environmental studies from Bard College.
