International Land Conservation and New England: Hybrid Presentation and Land Conservation Networking
January 29, 2025 | 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (EST, UTC-5)
Cambridge, MA United States
Successful landscape-scale conservation projects can hinge on productive engagement across municipal, sectoral, and national boundaries. However, these boundaries can also pose logistical challenges to large-scale planning and collaboration. In this presentation from ILCN Director Jim Levitt, we will look at the role of international communities in conservation, learn about the work of the International Land Conservation Network (ILCN), and explore examples of cross-boundary conservation in New England and Canada.
The presentation and subsequent Q&A are estimated to last an hour. Following this, there will be time for casual networking among the in-person participants. All are welcome!
Please bring your own lunch. Light snacks and coffee will be available.
This is a hybrid, recorded event. You can join us in person at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy at 113 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA, USA. Please select whether you are attending in person or online in the registration form. There is no parking on site and public transportation is recommended. Alternatively, you can park at the University Place Garage in Harvard Square, which is a 5–10-minute walk from the Lincoln Institute offices.
This event is presented by the Early Career Conservation Network, an interest group of the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition that provides networking and training opportunities for those in their first 10 years of a career in land conservation.
