Yu-Hung Hong

In his work at the Land Governance Laboratory, Yu-Hung Hong studies the use of land tools to facilitate open and inclusive decision-making processes for land resource allocation in developing countries. His current research focuses on how governments can capture land value increments created by public investment and community collaboration for financing local infrastructure and durable shelter for the poor. Dr. Hong has been teaching urban public finance since 1996 and publishes on topics related to property rights, public land leasing, land readjustment, and property taxation. His work at the Lincoln Institute includes the design and delivery of training courses and the ongoing analysis of value capture mechanisms.
