William W. Goldsmith

William W. Goldsmith directs the Program on International Studies in Planning at Cornell University, where he is professor of City and Regional Planning. A specialist on urban policy and regional development, Goldsmith has taught and consulted in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. He has published widely on urban poverty in the United States, national urban policy, and international development. Together with IPPUR at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, each June he conducts a Cornell summer session program on Brazilian Cities.
