Michelle M. Thompson

Michelle M. Thompson is the Principal of Thompson Real Estate Consultants, a real estate research and education firm. Michelle received her Ph.D. from the Cornell City and Regional Planning Department with a focus on community development and spatial analysis using geographic information systems (GIS). As a licensed residential real estate appraiser in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Michelle worked in both public agencies and private companies related to the finance of residential and commercial real estate. Michelle is a Faculty Associate with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Currently, Michelle is a Visiting Lecturer in the Cornell Department of City and Regional Planning where she continues to conduct research on community information database systems. Following her participation in the November 2003 conference in Bogotá, Michelle has continued to research cadastres locally and internationally.
