Mark Skidmore

Mark Skidmore is conducting research on the eroding property tax base in the City of Detroit, which is in the midst of an ongoing fiscal crisis. His research interests include state and local government tax policy, intergovernmental relations, the interrelationships between public sector decisions and economic activity, and the economics of natural disasters. He currently serves as coeditor of the Journal of Urban Affairs.
