Alan Mabin

Alan Mabin is the head of the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He studied in South Africa, the USA and Canada, and has worked and conducted research in a number of countries including Australia, Brasil, France, Kenya and Zimbabwe. His present research focuses on global processes of suburbanization and changing relationships between public and private sectors in city development.
