Government Finance Officers Association Conference 2025

The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy will participate in the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Annual Conference taking place June 28–July 2, 2025, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. George W. McCarthy, president and CEO of the Lincoln Institute, will lead a preconference seminar on “Scenario Planning for Disaster Recovery” on June 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. During the session, participants will explore how scenario planning, climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and innovative land use strategies can improve fiscal stability and community outcomes.
In addition to this discussion hosted by the Lincoln Institute, representatives from Claremont Lincoln University and experts from the Lincoln Institute’s Center for Geospatial Solutions will have a booth in the exhibit hall. The GFOA Annual Conference includes over 70 continuing professional education (CPE)–accredited sessions, inspirational keynote addresses, leadership workshops, and many more resources. This opportunity is designed to enhance attendees’ professional skills and deepen their understanding of government finance management while providing a unique opportunity to engage with peers and bring transformative ideas back to communities.
