Adaptation of Land Use Planning Instruments for Small Cities

Latin America has undergone an accelerated rapid process of urbanization.  It is currently the second most urbanized region in the world. Today medium-sized cities lead in urban population growth, creating enormous challenges. This course aims to identify and work through the particularities that define small and intermediate cities, specifically their urban management processes to identify the most appropriate land policy tools to manage growth.

Specific requirements: It is recommended to have knowledge in land planning models, functioning of land markets and capital gains recovering.
