Daniela Faria is a policy analyst on the Planning Practice and Scenario Planning team at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, where she leads and supports exploratory scenario planning initiatives focused on equitable urban and environmental futures.
Before joining the institute, Daniela worked as an urban planner and architect in Brazil, developing urban plans and design projects for the City of Belo Horizonte and in the private sector. Alongside her professional practice, she also served as a research fellow at the University of São Paulo and the Federal University of Minas Gerais, contributing to research on urban development financing, land conflicts, gender, and social justice in collaboration with academic teams and social movements.
Daniela holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture and urbanism from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and is currently pursuing a PhD in environmental sciences at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
