Jennifer L. Sigler

Jennifer Sigler is an editor and cultural producer who focuses on design and the built environment. She leads and supports the creation of books, exhibitions, events, and multimedia projects as platforms for interdisciplinary exchange. Before joining the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, she was Editor-in-Chief at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she revamped and directed the publications program and Harvard Design Magazine. Sigler earned her BA in English at Smith College, and then relocated to the Netherlands to work with Rem Koolhaas as editor of S,M,L,XL. She went on to become Editorial Director at the Berlage Institute, a postgraduate center for architecture and urbanism, where she started the publication Hunch. Later, she became Editorial Director for Rotterdam’s Fourth International Architecture Biennale (2010), where she coedited the book Open City: Designing Coexistence and curated the public program. She has also collaborated with the Aga Khan Development Network, People’s Architecture Office (Beijing/LA), the Harvard Office for Sustainability, MVRDV, Diamond Schmitt Architects, TU Delft, ETH Zurich, the Netherlands Architecture Institute, and many other organizations around the world.
