Daniel McMillen focuses on spatial models of economic activity in urban areas, with an emphasis on zoning, land values, and house prices. He has been coeditor of Regional Science and Urban Economics since 2007, and he serves on the editorial boards of other leading journals in urban economics, real estate, and regional science, and as a consultant for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. As a distinguished scholar, his goal is to help develop new methods to assist in land valuation, assessment and studies of property taxation.
