Maya Oaks is a Center Fellow–Health with the Center for Community Investment. Maya was most recently a Program Associate with the Annie E. Casey Foundation, where she led the planning and execution of results-based leadership programs. Prior to joining the Casey Foundation, Maya served six years in the federal government as a Program Specialist with the Office of Head Start and as a Presidential Management Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. During this tenure, Maya oversaw more than $40 million in grants and provided technical assistance to community-based programs. Maya holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a B.A. in History from Stanford University.
