Examples of Conflict and Situation Assessments
Conflict and situation assessments are used to evaluate situations. These assessments are completed as precursors to mediation projects. Parties involved in a situation are interviewed confidentially by a neutral, and a report that summarizes the most important aspects of the situation is completed. This report may make recommendations to go forward with a mediation, or may identify barriers to a successful mediated process that make a successful process unlikely.
The following documents are examples of assessments completed by the Consensus Building Institute.
