Of Interest Alaska School Trust lands are currently under litigation to determine how the resources and revenue get to the schools. Historically, the revenues from the School Trust lands have not gone directly to education, but have been lumped together with all State Land revenues which are given to the State as a whole and funding is decided upon by the legislature. Additionally, there is The Trust Land Office which manages ~ 1 million acres on behalf of the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority.
State Resources
  • Trust Land Office 2005 Annual Report
