Through a partnership with the The City of Glendale, Making Sense of Place – Phoenix: The Urban Desert will be shown on local cable station Channel 11KGLN. Please consult the program schedule guide at www.glendaleaz.com/Glendale11/ProgramGuide.cfm for viewing times.

Desert Cities exhibit at Arizona Historical Society Museum. Phoenix: The Urban Desert is featured in the exhibit, which is expected to run for three years. The film can be viewed at an interactive DVD station featuring thematic chapters. It is also shown in the Brown Theater, running continuously at 70 minute intervals from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Arizona Historical Society Museum at Papago Park, 1300 College Ave., Tempe, AZ, 480-929-0292. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for children and seniors. Admission is free for children ages 11 and younger.

The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in partnership with Valley Forward, ULI-AZ, ASU's College of Architecture and Environmental Design present a two part symposium offered to professionals who design, plan and build in the Phoenix metro area. Guest speakers will lead provocative discussions of land issues related to development, and highlighting successful urban core revitalization efforts in Salt Lake City, Denver and Phoenix. The symposium will include the following topics and speakers: Downtown Success Stories. Stephen Goldsmith, Former Salt Lake City Planning Director, and Will Fleissig, Former Denver Downtown Planning and Development Director. How Do We Grow Downtown?
