A non-profit law firm for the environment, Earthjustice protects people, wildlife and natural resources by providing free legal representation to citizen groups to enforce our environmental laws. Earthjustice works through the courts to safeguard public lands, national forests, parks, and wilderness areas; to reduce air and water pollution; to prevent toxic contamination; and to preserve endangered species and wildlife habitat. Founded in 1971 as Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund. Site contains an action center, information on urgent cases and updates on court cases, policy and legislation.
