CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (Janurary 14, 2010) -- Lincoln Institute president Gregory K. Ingram has been named the 2010 Halbert C. Smith Honorary Fellow at the Weimer School of Advanced Studies in Real Estate and Land Economics, part of the Homer Hoyt Institute in North Palm Beach, Fla.
As part of the fellowship, Ingram, a former economics professor at Harvard University and formerly head of evaluations for the World Bank, was invited to speak at the January session of the school. He will travel there to make a presentation on the Institute’s recent evaluation of statewide smart growth programs.
According to the school, the Weimer School Honorary Fellows have made significant contributions to the development and dissemination of knowledge in real estate, land economics, and related fields during their careers and include: Drs. Brian J. L. Berry, Benjamin Chinitz, Anthony Downs, Charles Leven, Sherman Maisel, Peter Mieszkowski, Edwin Mills, Richard Muth, Dick Netzer, Jerome Rothenburg, Anita Summers, George Tolley and Ralph Turvey. Other Honorary Fellows were Drs. Leo Grebler, John Kain, William Kinnard, Chester Rapkin and Paul Wendt.
