Description
JOINT VENTURE partnerships
Sonoran Institute, Phoenix, Arizona

The joint venture continues to work with Robert Grow
and his colleagues to refine the Superstition Vistas scenario
development model by incorporating sustainability inputs
and generating various scenarios that favor alternative
transportation and energy options, housing densities, efficient
water usage, open space protection, and a lowered
carbon footprint. Results of a peer review process to
evaluate the scenario modeling efforts will help ensure
that sustainability components are well-represented in
the visioning scenarios. Additionally, ways to implement
successfully the planning vision for Superstition Vistas as
a sustainable model for arid regional development are a
joint venture priority and will be featured in report and
presentation materials on the development vision.
