Special 2012 David C. Lincoln Fellowship in Land Value Taxes and Sales Taxes Application Guidelines

Overview
This year the David C. Lincoln Fellowships in Land Value Taxation (LVT) will include one additional special fellowship for research on the feasibility and desirability of using land value tax revenue to reduce sales taxes. Like all work funded by the David C. Lincoln Fellowship program, this project may consider this issue from the perspective of economic analysis, legal theory and practice, political science, or other approaches. Consideration of the effects of such a change in a specific jurisdiction would be particularly useful.

Award & Eligibility
Research funding for this project will be between $20,000 and $30,000. This special fellowship will be awarded on a one-time basis in 2012 for one year. After successful completion of this project, up to two new applications may be submitted for renewed funding under the general David C. Lincoln Fellowship program. Each year's funding decision is independent and requires a new application.

Like other David C. Lincoln Fellowship applications, applications for the Fellowship on Land Value Taxes and Sales Taxes must be submitted in electronic format are due September 15, 2012, and the fellowship will be announced by November 15, 2012.
