Jerome C. German is an independent consultant who teaches and publishes widely on assessment administration, geographic information systems (GIS) spatial analysis, and computer assisted mass appraisal systems (CAMA) modeling. He was previously director and chief assessor in the real estate division of the Lucas County (Ohio) Auditor’s Office where he and his staff of 75 employees made Lucas County a leader in the development, implementation, and integration of CAMA and GIS for property tax purposes. Jerry was also commercial and industrial CAMA supervisor with the Cuyahoga County Auditor’s Office. He has written numerous articles on assessment administration, mass appraisal, assessment models, spatial analysis, and electronic dissemination of public records.
This course examines advanced statistical methods and new technology, such as spatial analysis and geographic information systems (GIS), that can improve the valuation of land and buildings for tax purposes.
